Turn Meeting Audio into Clean Notes
Stop choosing between participating in meetings and taking notes. Record your meetings and get polished transcripts automatically.
The Problem with Meeting Notes
Taking notes during a meeting forces you to split your attention. You either miss important points while writing, or you stop taking notes to engage in the conversation. Most people end up with incomplete, disorganized notes that are hard to reference later.
Recording the meeting and generating a transcript solves this. You stay fully present in the conversation, and you get a complete, searchable record afterward.
How to Capture Meeting Notes Automatically
With Organism, capturing meeting notes takes three steps:
- Open tryorganism.com in your browser before the meeting starts.
- Press record. The tool transcribes speech in real time using your browser's built-in speech recognition.
- When the meeting ends, press stop. The AI cleans up the transcript into organized, readable notes.
What You Get
The AI cleanup step does more than just transcribe. It produces a polished document:
- Filler words ("um", "uh", "you know") are removed
- Grammar and punctuation are corrected
- Content is organized into logical paragraphs
- False starts and repeated phrases are cleaned up
The result reads like notes someone carefully wrote by hand — but generated in seconds.
Real-Time vs. Upload-Based Transcription
Most meeting transcription tools (Otter.ai, Fireflies, etc.) work by joining your video call as a bot participant or by processing uploaded audio files after the meeting. These tools work well but often require accounts, have free tier limits, and send your audio to remote servers.
Organism takes a different approach: transcription happens in your browser, in real time, as the meeting happens. Your audio never leaves your device. This makes it ideal for sensitive or confidential meetings.
Privacy for Sensitive Meetings
Not every meeting should be processed by a cloud service. Confidential business discussions, legal conversations, medical consultations, and HR meetings all benefit from a more private approach.
Because Organism uses the Web Speech API built into your browser, your audio is processed locally. Only the text transcript (not the audio) is sent to the AI for cleanup. No recordings are stored. Read our privacy policy for details.
Works for Remote and In-Person Meetings
Remote meetings: Open Organism in a browser tab while on your video call. Your laptop microphone picks up both sides of the conversation. For best results, use headphones so the mic captures your voice clearly and the speaker audio comes through your output.
In-person meetings: Open Organism on your laptop or phone and place the device on the table. The built-in microphone captures the room. For larger rooms, consider an external microphone.
Tips for Better Meeting Transcription
- Use Chrome for the most accurate speech recognition
- Minimize background noise — close windows, mute notifications
- For remote meetings, ask participants to speak one at a time when possible
- Keep your browser tab active (don't minimize it) during the recording
